Has anyone else had an issue where your phone stops receiving text messages after updating from MIUI 14 stable to Hyper OS stable? update: it was an issue caused by some permissions getting removed from apps after upgrading. The "receive SMS/MMS" permission was removed from my 3rd party SMS app

So if I'm going from MIUI 14 stable to HyperOS stable, I need to use TWRP? I can't use the "windows_fastboot_update_rom.ba" method because it will get the phone stuck on a white screen? I'm using a Xiaomi Mi 12 Pro (zeus).

I also can't sign in to Google Chrome. When I open Google Chrome it says I need to sign in but then when I enter my email it says that my phone already has that account logged in.

I'm having the same problem. I can't change the permission setting of any app. If I try to give an app access to camera or location by pressing "allow", it immediately returns to "deny". I also can't use a 3rd party texting app like Handcent NextSMS as my default texting app anymore.

Thanks, I went to the Google Play app and sent some feedback from there. It's likely that whoever responded to you in support can't fix the problem but maybe if they get enough feedback reports on this issue, the devs will pay attention to it and it could get fixed?

I also deleted the cache of Google Play services and reinstalled Google Pay app and not it works! I have magisk installed too with no problems, just make sure google pay is hidden in magisk if you have problems.
