First of all, I'd like to thank all of you guys for your interest. :)
Yesterday, I spent the whole day flashing and testing numerous different ways, such as the above mentioned (TWRP updated, turned off/on, fixed contexts in TWRP etc). I even formatted the internal memory, but couldn't find a...
I flashed TWRP 3.0.2-1 directly in TWRP, rebooted, then tried to flash the ROM. I'm still getting the same message:
"Failed to extract dir from "system" to "/system"
Updater process ended with ERROR: 7"
Please guys, I need some help:
Spent the whole day flashing the ROM, tried to erase everything, but I got the same "System 7" error.
Now I'm stuck in the TWRP and the phone can't boot, since the flash was unsuccessful and I've erased everything.
I can't flash even a previous ROM to make it...
I meant that I tried to flash the 6.6.30 ROM and I was getting the above message.
Now I'm stuck in TWRP and the phone doesn't boot (obviously).
Since I erased everything, what should I do in order to install the ROM?
Mi 2S user here.
Tried to flash with TWRP 3.0.2-0 and I'm constantly getting the "System 7" error.
I have wiped cache/dalvic and I also formatted the phone/cleared all data.
I still get the same message.
Any ideas?
Mi 2S user here, still on Smiui 5.10.8 (miui7).
Tried to flash Smiui 6.6.30_QM5VX1 with TWRP 3.0.2 and getting the "System 7" error.
Wiped cache/dalvik and/or flashed the ROM again and still getting the error.
Any ideas?
Should I do something before/after the procedure?
OK, I've installed MiPCSuite, the USB drivers were installed, so I managed to install TWRP.
But, when I tried to flash the smiui rom, I got the message:
mount: failed to mount /dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/userdata at /data: Device or resource busy
What now? :(
Edit: wait! Finally...
Yep, that's the one I installed. Problem is that Windows don't recognize the phone due to its state -it doesnt have to do with ADB/USB drivers. I've swapped to the other system (there was a previous ROM installed -smiui 5.9.2) and phone runs smooth and is being recognized by Windows etc.
I followed the guide, so I guess it's the right package. Everything went smooth on installation.
BTW When I connected the phone I got the Windows message "driver is not correctly installed" -and the device was not present on "my computer" window. When the phone was OK, I could see the phone...
