I can can confirm too that 4G/ LTE is lost after latest update for Mi 5S. Niether on Mi note 2.

Same for Mi Mix , 4G is not working at all , modem bug, 4G appears for few seconds only , cinnection stuck on H+ /3G. Roll back on 6.12.29.

For those not wanting to wait till next build - the rollback of the radio image is enought to fix the LTE issue (i took the NON-HLOS.bin from 6.12.22_20161222).
It can be done via fastboot:
fastboot flash modem NON-HLOS.bin
