Always On Display Stays only for Few seconds- Redmi Note 10 Pro

Has anybody experienced or discovered that Redmi Note 10 AOD doesn't stay as intended? Supposedly to stay On Always but after few seconds after locking the phone, the AOD switches off.

If I'm not mistaken this is how it is designed.
It is not really a AOD

was this fixed with 12.0.12.0? in 12.0.6.0 it is like this...no AOD > 10 sec

So I did some reading and found some user reporting that it is indeed "always on" but that the battery drain is very high. I wonder where the problem lies, if it's purely software or hardware...

I have now installed xiaomi.eu 12.0.6. on my Redmi Note 10 Pro and I can confirm, only AOD with 10 sec is available as option.

I still need some support, when downloading the zip file it is on main storage in the downloads
But when booting in TWRP I do not see any data or folders in the "sdcard" folder of internal storage
When switching to external SD card I see the folders there but I can not install anything as internal storage in TWRP is shown with 0 size
