as title.

I want to use this ROM but I'm wondering if I still have access to Android Pay/NFC payments (using bank's own app) if I were to:

1. unlock bootloader
2. then install TWRP
3. then install latest weekly from Xiaomi.eu

Thanks a lot :)

It will not work with Android Pay, I'm not sure about other methods.

Unless somebody knows a way around this security restriction?

Hello, I have the MIUI Global 8.0 Stable version 8.0.4.0. (MBGMIDI) installed on my Mi5s Plus, but when i go to the settings and default (NFC) wallet options, there is no other way of nfc payment method that I can choose that the default Mi wallet one.
I cannot chose google payment for example.
Can you use another payment method other than the mi wallet?

Thanx

I'm assuming if you flash the rom then re-lock the bootloader it would work?
Only reasons for NFC not to work would be an unlocked bootloader or rooted phone. But I could be wrong.

Android Pay says it is not available on my phone for one of the following reasons:

* Phone has unlocked bootloader
* Phone is rooted
* Phone is has a custom ROM installed

Or in my case - all of them :)

DO NOT attempt to lock your bootloader with one last bit of unofficial ROM on your phone. You will end up in a bootloop. If you really consider re-locking your device, use the "flash_all_lock" script in the fastboot method package
