New Apps stopping at login

Greetings to all, and thank you for being here!

I got myself a Redmi Note 5, running MIUI Global 10.2 (Android 8.1.0...)
Curiously there are certain apps that won't run: as soon as I confirm login using Facebook I get a pop-up telling the app stopped. This happens on 6 apps, every time I try to use them since installation (worked on former Andro' phone). Curiously they're all "social" (=dating) apps, of which 2 are globally well-known and veryfied.
Any guess on why this happens?
I have sent the reports each time, and can post the log here if it can help...

Oh, you don't? You and all the other users? I hope it's not some government policy... After all, XiaoMi is chinese.

So, should I try to find some other social app that uses Facebook Login to see if the problem persists?

Sad to say, your reply seems to focus more on the *aim of the app* than on the technical problem that is: app crashes at login. I thought this was a help forum...
Maybe next time I'll omit the app, and wait for some helpful hand to ask for details?

Try looking in:

Settings/Mi Account/Account Security/Accounts

There is an default entry for Facebook there, see if connecting it might help.

Why is beyond me, but Xiaomi seems to have some secret under-the-table data-sharing relationship with Facebook?

Nota bene, I do not use Facebook, never will, so do not know what connecting your Mi Account to your Facebook account might result in.

I'm digging on this but apparently that's not the point: after connecting my Mi account to Fb (following your lead), and even giving extra permissions to the said apps (what is auto-start???) they still crash at the login phase. All the 6 different apps I tested....

[NotaBene: no, I'm not totally hooked on this kind of activity, but I just can't stand when something doesn't work as it should, so I go on testing to try to understand and solve the problem]

Weird thing is: on my first space the apps work nice.
Why would an app work on the Redmi First Space and not on the second? I'm trying to find if any settings (security, Mi account, Google...) are different on these two spaces.

Someone else? No hints? It seems that I am not alone with this kind of issue: (similar problem on another forum https://forum.xda-developers.com/poco-f1/help/games-apps-space-default-space-t3865722#post78866505 and some other found via goog' too)

Ok, just a brief note to update on this problem: 4 of the 6 apps received updates today, and after that 2 of the 4 managed to connect via Fb.
So I guess the problem is really app-based, and maybe those apps receive the crash-logs? Pity for the other apps that did not patch up...
