As the beta rom for note 7 pro has been cancelled, should the dev start building eu rom based on the stable one?

It's almost confirmed that the developer rom for Redmi Note 7 Pro is not coming. So I thinnk, eu dev should start building eu rom for this device using the latest stable rom

No. Development ROM has not been canceled. There is no official announcement from MIUI regarding any cancellation whatsoever. People are spreading false rumors on MI Forums because Xiaomi still hasn't released it even though three months have already passed since they launched the Redmi Note 7 Pro. The reason why Development ROM has been delayed is because Xioami China temporarily closed the internal testing channel (closed beta) due to maintenance issues. However maintenance is over and the internal testing channel has been opened again while certain eligible users have already been accepted for the first tests. As I've read on the Chinese forums, Developer ROM will be released during Q2 of this year. After the internal testing is over it will be made available to everyone. We can expect the release sometime this month or at the very latest at the end of June.

Thanks for your valuable info. If what you are saying is true then I have to say Xiaomi should have made an official statement about the matter to stop such rumors. But they neglected us and did not bother to inform us what's actually going on

I agree. But at least things are starting to move in the right direction. Better later than never. The information regarding the Q2 2019 Development ROM release comes from an official Weibo announcement, while the opening of the internal testing channel has been confirmed on MI China Forums by users who applied for the first Development ROM tests. Internal testing is expected to begin sometime next week.
