Bouygues Appcloud keeps installing itself and more bloatware on MIUI 14

I'm new here, and new to Android too, so first thanks to the community for providing high-quality ROMs for every type of device with clear instructions.

I recently bought a Redmi Note 12, and the sheer frustration with bloatware especially Bouygues AppCloud (I'm based in the UK and they are not my provider) meant I tried to uninstall system apps one by one using https://adb.miuies.com/#/, which didn't work. The thing kept reinstalling itself. Eventually I went for a fresh install of an EU ROM.

I flashed MIUI 14 Topaz onto the phone, and for about 24 hours everything was great. Then on the way to work, I got a notification that my remaining 6GB of data had been used up in a few hours, and lo and behold, Bouygues AppCloud had installed a crapload of games and other rubbish. I can't find it anywhere, in system apps or otherwise.

I thought using an EU ROM would stop this stuff finding its way onto my phone. Is this normal? How do I get rid of this rubbish?

It's definitely not normal.
Are you sure you have xiaomi.eu custom ROM and not Global EEA?
It is also possible that you transferred the problem using the backup you made on the old ROM.

Thanks for the reply. I downloaded xiaomi.eu_multi_TOPAZ from sourceforge via the stable ROMS thread https://xiaomi.eu/community/threads/miui-14-stable-release.67685/. Installed using adb on Linux Ubuntu. I hope that's the best way.

I didn't know you could transfer the problem. AFAIK I flashed a brand new ROM and cleaned everything else out (in fact, before flashing I nearly bricked my phone using the adb miuies online app, just deleted too much stuff )

It's definitely not a virus problem, it looks like the application is part of global rom . I just got a new phone and the application started installing applications immediately after connecting to the internet.
