Hi,

Thanks for the good work on releasing this brilliant mod to official MIUI ;)

I just upgraded from MIUI 9 to MIUI 9.6. I was on version 7.8.31 I think up to this date.

So, upgraded TWRP, upgraded MIUI to 8.3.29 V2 to try it, wipe data cache dalvik (by mistake, but did it anyway).

The problem I have is with the "pocket mode". When activated, all the buttons and touch screen actions are blocked while proximity sensor is triggered, but NOT the fingerprint sensor. This is not a good thing since the phone ends up locking to a screen with "too many tries" thingy... When I unlock the screen with my password, the Google Assistant is opened and listening (???)

I remember not having this with my previous version.

I tried:
- on/off pocket mode with reboots
- flip cover mode
- versions 8.3.22, 8.4.4, 8.5.8 (the one I am on now).

I appears that this issue looks somewhat the same as "mi-5s-battery-drain" from March 2nd

Can you look into this for next release?
I think the best thing could be to block the fingerprint sensor while in pocket, as it was on 7.8.31.

Cheers

Allright, it seems that this issue is more linked to switching from Android 7 to Android 8. This problem seems also to be present for other devices.
It looks like fingerprint sensor activation management has changed with Android 8 and cannot be easilly controlled

It seems the easy "fix" for this is to place the phone with the fingerprint sensor not towards your leg...

Any idea is this could be fixed with next ROM release?
