I Bought a international note 2 unlocked from someone on the streets and when i get home i see that it doesnt have "s note"nor most of the apps that ive seen other note 2's have .the model number is GT-N7100.so is this build number a part of a custom rom or might this phone be a counterfet?and are there ways that i can get the stock rom ?some one please help..btw when it starts up it just comes up saying "android" and not samsung.

i traded a brand new galaxy S3 and $150..ive heared that i might need to get a stock rom put on it.but im not sure if that might help.i contacted samsung us and they said it was made in india then when i contacted them again they said it was manufactured in UK..UK sent me a email saying that someone might have added a rom to it that took off some of the apps..

Then maybe it's not fake. Install Antutu Benchmark from Google play and check hardware specification. Then we will be sure if it original Note 2.

try flash it by ODIN and you will see if it will get error or not... if ODIN will identified your phone as real N7100 it will continue with flashing FW.... if its fake, it will stop....

from your screens phone model is correct, but FW version and baseband is strange... it should be in format like N7100XXDLL7...

or install Samsung Kies and if it will recognize your phone, you won...

excuse my lack of knowldge about all of this but im not sure what a flash is nor how to do any of this.is there something on youtube that will show me how or is this stuff top secret..?btw i didnt pay my bill this month so does my phone have to have servise for me to do any of this?

ive had Kies on my comp from when i had my S3 and i plug my note2 into the comp and it doesnt pick up anything..but im not sure if my phone have to have servise for kies to pick it up

but i saw in the vdeo when he went to put the phone into download mode by pressing the power ,home and volume down buttons at the same time but hen i do it then it goes straight to system recovery utility..im not sre how else i ca ge to download mode

can you upload your backup firmware using mtkdroidtools>?? your phone not a real note2

I once again suggest to test the phone easiest way:
1. Download Antutu Benchmark from Google Play
2. Open the app and go to Info > Information.

Its all there.
Quad 1.6Ghz, 2gigs of ram, 720p HD display, mali400 mp4 gpu and Android 4.1.2. If something is different than the original specs then its fake.

something told me to take out the batt and look on the phone and it says

S/N:RF1C1266B1N
so im not sure which are the rite info because when i go to settings-about phone-status and the IMEI numbers are different and so is the serial number so im not which one is rite..the serial number in the settings part is 0123456789ABCDEF..
