Can MI2S support MHL output for 1080P

Mine can only output at 720p. Is this the limit of MI2S or a problem of the MHL cable?

My Mi2 does output 1080p. Maybe it's a problem of your MHL adapter or TV.

Thank M1cha for your response. I am glad to know that MI2S is not the problem. Few questions to ask if I may.

1. Do you need any setup to have Mi2S output 1080p?
2. When you first connect to TV, not in movie playing mode, is it 1080p or 720p?
3. Do you have to play 1080p movie to get 1080p output or it always outputs 1080p?
