Cannot connect to Short Message Service Center (SMSC) in my MI8 Explorer Edition

Good day!

I'm not able to send SMS and cannot connect to Short Message Service Center (SMSC) in my MI8 Explorer Edition (which I bought recently). Initially it was working, later on, stopped at all. Also cannot enter any SMSC number using the code*#*#4636*#*#
All explanations in http://en.miui.com/thread-20805-1-1.html don't work... even tried with the operator.

Hi guys,
I did change SMSC number using another brand phone (Samsung in my case) and it worked... !
