Hi, I'm an American user of the Mi2 and haven't flashed my Mi2 for over a year and decided to today. Unfortunately I made the mistake of flashing to the latest stable ROM (JLB49.0 （V5）) from: http://en.miui.com/download-2.html instead of the English Optimized ROM (5.1.30) from: http://xiaomi.eu/community/forums/miui-weekly-rom-releases.103/?prefix_id=25 I used the Updater App method to flash. So now I'm stuck with a half Chinese ROM with Chinese text and apps that I can't read or don't need. Once I realized I had the wrong ROM, I used the Updater App method again to flash to the English Optimized ROM. However, now the phone cannot boot into System One. When I try to boot from System One from Recovery Mode, the phone returns to Recovery Mode. Booting from System Two boots into the Chinese ROM I'm trying to replace. I have tried flashing to the English Optimized ROM using both the Updater App (from within the Chinese install) and through Recovery Mode (renaming the package to update.zip in root directory). But no matter what I do, System One boots back into Recovery Mode. I've searched around and have not seen a way to manually install update.zip to System Two, and since I can't get into System One, is my phone trapped with this Chinese ROM? I have been searching for answers for six hours and I'm not getting anywhere! Please help!
