Change Google Phone to system app

Hi! My question is, if I'll be able to convert the Google Phone app to a system app (saw some methods, but never tried it) will it stay in the system apps through weekly updates? Can it break something? I'm asking because there's a method that can activate call recording but it seems it's working only when it's a system app.

Yes, I know that the miui dialer can record without any magic.
