Creating new users on HyperOS

Hi all.

It was possible to create new users in MIUI. I have been watching Xiaomi.eu for months but started using it for the first time on 12T Pro. I can't find the option to add new user on HyperOS. Did Xiaomi remove this functionality altogether or didn't Xiaomi.eu implement in ROMs?

You can only have 1 MIUI account user per device. You need to sign out from this account first then create new account.

Any update on this?
I've the same problem. I want to have 2 accounts on my tablet, one for me and one for my daughter.
This seems not possible with HyperOS on my pad 6?
That's a huge dissapointment!

Seems you got it wrong. I wasn't talking about Xiaomi accounts. I was talking about MIUI users. Creating different local users on the phone for the UI. It is called multiple users. See here for MIUI: https://droidwin.com/enable-hidden-add-multiple-users-option-in-miui-xiaomi/

I can't find it on HyperOS. Maybe Xiaomi removed this functionality in HyperOS or maybe Xiaomi.eu didn't implement it.

This method did not work for Miui EU HyperOS stable from 6.8.2024 for Xiaomi 14 houji.
I found the app called - "Miui Hidden Settings"
It has the multiple users menu and you can create users and switch to them from the menu, you can also create favorite in the app for fast access, if you pay for it you can add a home shortcut.
Not as convinient as the regular icon in status bar but it works.

First time you change to a different user you need to install this app on the new user in order to switch back....

I wonder why this option is not added to Miui EU HyperOS if it exists and works.

Because we don't unhide everything that physically exists in system apps.
This feature is an AOSP feature, it's not used on MIUI/HyperOS and wasn't designed to work because MIUI/HyperOS has special users reserved for system features that should never be manually touched.
If you have any issues, don't report them here.

Then, what's the approach or official way to share a Xiaomi tablet among different family members (some of them supervised with Family Link)?

I just bought a Redmi Pad Pro, which is based on Android 14 according to the specs. I want to share it with my two daughters (that is, 3 different tablet users), but I just can configure one Google account in the device. As the tablet will be mainly used by one of my daughters, I configured her account, which is protected with Family Link.

However, the parental control now forbids me to add any other Google account (in order to avoid mixing up data), and instructs me adding it as a different device user. But this option does not seem to exist in HyperOS. I cannot creat a Second Space either (it gives an error), probably because it would be a leak in the parental-control system.

That's not a matter that should concern us. We don't even support tablets. You might want to ask that on the official Xiaomi Community.
