I installed two taichi apps, after which I suddenly got an alert from a toolbar that my phone needed a critical Xiaomi update. It wanted to continue to download from
--link removed--

Needless to say, I didnt proceed and I uninstalled the apps as well. The update message has not reappeared.

The two in question were

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.Teach_Tai_Chi_Kungfu_3&hl=en
and
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=imoblife.tranquilize&hl=en

Sorry I couldnt get a screenshot, and the link is now not valid, but I wanted to let people know.

Rgds

have the same question :D
you can download the apk file, the copy to system/app then fix permission.Reboot and done !

First of all, it's not really a good idea to post a direct link to the (infected) link.
These apps really don't have any relation to MIUI or Xiaomi, they probably just read that your phone was a Xiaomi brand phone and showed you a fake update message. The only thing you can do is report those apps for malware in the play store.
