Do I Need Twrp , And If So How Do I Install It

Hi All. I have now successfully moved from 8.0.5.0 to 8.1.2.0 ( and about to updrade over wifi to 8.1.4.0).
On a previous thread i was told if i wanted to flash other roms i need twrp.
If i decide to flash other roms , how do i install twrp ?
i have downloaded the twrp nickel , but i get confused on some guides as it says go to adb
As a newbie , can anyone give a step by step guide please

Once you have completed those steps you can then flash via TWRP the latest Xiaomi.eu Stable or Developer or any Custom ROM's

Thanks but i am still confused ..sorry ..
.it says
Steps to install TWRP recovery:
1. Download TWRP recovery image from here ...ok downloaded that to PC
2. Run in ADB console: what ?? how ?? where ??
Code:
adb reboot bootloader
fastboot flash recovery cofface_twrp_nikel_recovery1124.img
fastboot boot cofface_twrp_nikel_recovery1124.img

i have no idea what ADB console is and where to find it , is it on the phone , or PC

Have you unlocked your bootloader yet? If not you will have to do that first. It takes a bit of reading/learning, but the thread below is very good. If you have questions just ask, as it can be a bit daunting.

Other way
