New External SD Card partially not detected

I have a strange problem with my external SD Card (128Gb). Since some days I get errors when I use some apps (e.g. Whatsapp can't download pictures: "Download failed. Can't download because no internal storage is available. Please unmount it as disk drive, and try again" and google maps claims that there is no sd card inserted for offline maps) which seem, that they don't find my external Sd Card. The miui file manager also doesn't show the Sd card, however some apps (gallery, Es file explorer) still show the external sd card an can read and write on it. Any Ideas, how to fix this strange error?

Sounds like the SD card is going bad. Maybe it is fake? Fake cards often fail in this way.

Save content of your SD card and try to format with smartphone. Sometimes underlaying file system has errors. But as frofa above said there are lots of faked cards in the world, mostly cheap or no name products.
