I just bought a Mi2S and want to flash the multilangual MIUI.
But it can't mount the storage in Recovery Mode
If I click on "apply update from sdcard" it says "E:failed to mount /sdcard (Invalid argument)
Same if I reboot from updater app into recovery mode

but I can use the storage if I'm on MIUI and also can connect it to my computer.

any suggestions? thanks

it's not working. no difference if i select it from updater or boot into recovery by holding volume+

this is what i get if i reboot from updater app to install selected rom
Code:
E:failed to mount /sdcard (Invalid argument)
E:Can't mount /sdcard/update.zip
No SD-Card.
Installation aborted.

do you have MiRecovery..? post a picture of your recovery here...

It says "Android system recovery <3e>"

so... sorry to tell you...

enjoy your fake Mi2...

where did you get that..?

post HW info here...

well, seems a pretty good fake :( so if it's not MiRecovery - it is fake for sure?
AnTuTu v2.9 Benchmark gives a 24709 score
got it from a local store in chongqing, I'll just bring it back - told him I'll kill him if it's fake...

install HW info app and post report here..

but yea.. its fake for sure... only original Xiaomi devices got MiRecovery.. not CWM 3e...

Well after you said: "got it from local store"... we're 100% sure.. ;)
MI-2S are sold only from xiaomi.com or some other legit eshops like ibuygou.com.

is it possible that I accidentially replaced MiRecovery by CWM? or will this take more effort than just installing cwm app?

That's interesting you have a Qualcomm processor and 2gb ram sounds legit but I may be missing something else..

Oh C'mon guys, just take a look into the specs :) @Kiwisaft: ive edited your post and put a log into pastebin.com.

Hehe:
Code:
Board : uniscope77_bu3_cu_ics2

Lol:
Code:
Screen
Resolution: 540 x 960

Oh and this:
Code:
- /system
/emmc@android ext4 ro,noatime,user_xattr,commit=1,barrier=1,data=ordered,noauto_da_alloc
- /data
/emmc@usrdata ext4 rw,nosuid,nodev,noatime,user_xattr,barrier=1,data=ordered,noauto_da_alloc
- /cache
/emmc@cache ext4 rw,nosuid,nodev,noatime,user_xattr,barrier=1,data=ordered,noauto_da_alloc

MI-2 is not using emmc memory blocks.

The SoC is a MTK6577 as well. Also I'm sure it doesn't have the proximity and light sensors if you inspect it closely.

It is a fake, return it as soon as possible without thinking.
