Fake Rom Mi5x

Hi all,

i have a Fake Rom on my new Xiaomi Mi 5x. It has the two zeroes at the end of the Rom Version ( later i will post a screenshot ).

I have read that flashing directly the xiaomi.eu ROM will cause a brick. To avoid this, i want to do the following steps:

1. Download the original chinese rom ( prefer the developer ).
2. Install the original chinese rom from Updater app.
3. After install, reset the device.
4. Unlock the bootloader.
5. Download the Xiaomi.eu rom.
6. Flash the TWRP.
7. Install the Xiaomi.eu rom from twrp and Wipe Data/Cache.
8. Reboot.

Are these steps correct to avoid bricking?

Yes correct... But don't install via updater..
Install via fastboot with command "flash and lock"...

1. what's the command? Reboot phone in fastboot -> move on minimal adb and fastboot ( i have installed this ) -> command is "fastboot flash and lock name_of_rom.*" right?

2. Where i can find the china developer original rom? i can't find on en.miui.com.....

EDIT: founded the rom on en.miui.com.

Anyway FYI, there are alot of hard bricked MI5X due to fake rom with locked bootloader ( MI forum), there isn't any tutorial on how to unbrick the MI5X due to the fake rom. If you have yourself a fake rom then is better to check out these tread before attempting to flash it. But I am not sure if they had did it with the way of flashing it with original rom before moving on to eu. rom. anyway GOOD LUCK to you and keep me posted, (My MI5x is otw)

FAKE ROM has dummy unlocked bootlaoder so it should allow you to flash fastboot ROM.. but not sure...

i have read the post, i think that they have used the fastboot rom, because one posted the code of flashall.bat. So this will not work. The only hope is that we will have the regular fastboot image instead of that one, otherwise we should return the phone. I've ordered mine on GearBest. I have read that the major phone with fake rom came from GeekBuying... Mine it's on the way too, but i think that will have fake rom because in description they said that Google play store will be installed, but Original chinese rom doesn't have it installed....

My Mi 5x is not bricked, just battery draining with fake rom, so I am not too eager to try this. Perhaps people with bricked ones try it first?

Later edit... I just found some comments on XDA forum, that the "test point method doesn't work"... Is that for this procedure?

hey, just dont flash anything thrust me wait for a solution or send the phone back get a refund and order the mi a1 its the same Phone but with stock android. or if you want miui os then order one with the official miui rom... i had the same fake rom flashed the official one and after it my phone was completly dead i just sold it and ordered a new one.

but the flashing process stopped at 99%, around min 6 in the video. Now I have the phone that does not enters in fastboot mode and it is not recognized as device by fastboot command line.
Any known solution to flash again?

Is a good semi solution but:
- No pssobilities to update to 7.9.14 weekly
- Fatboot oxygen (mimax2) and black screen

Any news for a real solution?
