Fix: root magisk detected bank banking app

Hello together,

if you start e.g. your banking app and you run into problems like "cant start, your devices may be rooted"

Be sure the device is certified and safetynet is ok

Here is the solution if you have installed magisk v23 or smaller
# delete the folder "/twrp" if this exists

# open "magisk - settings - Hide the Magisk app" and type a new name eg "magic"
# create a shortcut if you want on your homescreen
# open "magisk - MagiskHide (the shield icon) - choose "your banking app"
# open "magisk - MagiskHide (the shield icon) - choose "Google Play services"

Proceed to the next steps if the problem still exists

# download "AirFrozen" from Google Play Store
# open "Airfrozen - Start the journey - select renamed magisk -> eg "magic"

Now you have two options to freeze magisk

# tap longer on the the icon eg "magic" and a menu will appear - choose freeze (eg "magic" title will be green)
# tap on the green frozen icon in the lower right corner (eg "magic" title will be green)

# clear cache and data of your banking app
# start your banking app - all should be fine

To stop the frozen mode of magisk

# open "Airfrozen - tap longer on the the icon eg "magic" and a menu will appear - choose "Thaw" (eg "magic" title will be red)

PS: in the play store is another app to freeze Apps "Ice Box"

one user told us if he disabled "OEM locking" or "Developer options" everything was fine

Another solution should be to install the alpha version of magisk (thx to @darkbloodshot)

# enable the e.g. banking app on the denylist

just hide it with magisk, i also use sparkasse and for some reason it causes no problems, probably because of Orangefox twrp

don´t work at me...exactly 1 time the app open and works, but then it don´t work again...i use magisk v23, magiskhide is active for the banking app, i have hidden the magisk app with another name, freeze magisk with airfreezer, delete cache and data of banking app and cache/dalvik cache in TWRP but it don´t work...maybe it´s fixed now?

edit: where can i found the twrp folder? maybe this is the problem...but it has worked for exactly one time?!

edit2: i have now install the magisk alpha release and activate the app on the denylist, now it works perfect. thank you!

"TWRP" folder is located in the root of your phone's storage (internal storage).

added play store, play services, system framework & YASNAC to deny list)
clear data for playstore & playservices
hide magisk option done.

restart done.

Then also YASNAC shows fail & adviced to restore factoory rom.

Any suggestions?

After installing both, do a reboot of your phone and clear data for playstore and the services again.

Worked very well. Only 1 banking app called "YAP" is not working. rest all works perfectly fine. Google pay, UPI apps, and NETFLIX showing L1 widevine.

1 out of 3 of my banking UK apps stopped working when GPay upgraded to Wallet.
But the Magisk "deny list" fixed it!! After reading this thread, app is working again.
