Hey all,

If you've got an F6 Pro and you want to flash custom recovery, of which the only one I know of right now is TWRP by skkk, you need to use the command:

fastboot flash recovery_ab [twrp.img]

DO NOT USE recovery OR IT WILL BREAK YOUR BOOT.IMG

This is what it will look like if you flash it correctly (even if you break your boot):

This is what it looks like if you try to BOOT into the TWRP.IMG:

If you have used recovery and not _ab and you've reached this page -> extract the boot.img from the ROM you currently have, flash boot [boot.img] and you will boot back into SYSTEM.

DO not panic and MiFlash your phone, as you can potentially save it if you know what you're doing.

Any questions let me know.

Yes, it is a standard procedure that is indicated in the manual.
You haven't invented anything new. ;)

Ey Monkey. Leave me alone :emoji_stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Nah that's understandable, it's just sometimes people overlook those tutorials etc. coming directly to the phone's forum

Feel free to close this off if it's a useless thread haha

Hello, I bought my 3 month old POCO F6 PRO, and I have already unlocked its bootloader.
Do you have any steps on how to flash TWRP recovery and root it? Thank you so much!

Hey man, download TWRP by skkk (which is what I use)

If it's Android 14, you need the A14 img
If it's Android 15, you need the A15 img

Make sure you have adb tools in C:\, adb drivers installed on your PC, connect your device up and turn it on in fastboot mode.
In an adb console, you want to type fastboot devices, it will display your device and it's serial
(if it doesn't, you need to go into device management and try to apply the ADB driver to the Android Device that you might see, or it might say MTP device)

Put the recovery image in the same folder as the adb, type in fastboot flash recovery "name of image.img" (without quote marks)
Should then say OK

Reboot into Recovery, copy the image onto your device and re-flash the image onto the Recovery partition to ensure it's permanent.

Done :)
