I've been thinking about unlocking the bootloader and rooting my device, but from reading around I've learned MIUI updates on top of TWRP and gets you back to the stock recovery, needing to re-flash TWRP and re-root each time.
My guess is that Xiaomi.eu uses TWRP on updates, so it shouldn't get rid of it, but do I need to re-root the device each time?
Also, I've read Xiaomi.eu usually ends supporting devices BEFORE xiaomi does. Is that so?
