GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite Systems), or Chinese GNSS, refers to the transmission of signals with time and location data to a GNSS receiver on the ground in space through a series of navigation and positioning satellites. The receiver then uses these data to calculate the position. By definition, GNSS systems provide global coverage, including Galileo in Europe, GPS in the United States, GLONASS in Russia, and the Beidou satellite navigation system in China.
