I have bought myself a Samsung Galaxy S2 and I want to ask Mark if he knows the chinese plans for that device. I would love to use MIUI on that gadget

We don't know but if me and mark had to guess we'd say no to official support, of course if cyanogen make a nice ROM for it then an unnoficial port can be made just like with the EVO 4G, Droid Inc etc.
Until then however, you'll just have to hold out and hope for the best.

Well yes ekkelett, but if we have to take a guess... MIUI's plans for the future would indicate that they probably don't need to maintain any new devices. What with the rumours flying around and a lot of details that point towards the same conclusion, they're making their own phone.In the end, I think we'll definitely end up with official versions - although, how long time it'll take is another question...

However as you said, it is a popular device and the most likely dual-core phone to get MIUI. The fact that it's dual-core may in fact be why they'd choose to make an official version. However we don't know as they're so damn secretive
