Google Maps Application doesnt default from browser

this is a minor issue but its been bugging the crap out of me. if you google an address or click an adress in the miui browser. it doesnt ask you to open up google maps (the app) it just takes you to google maps websites. its pretty damn annoying and im wondering if its a bug or if there is a fix
