When any video on Youtube that is in HDR starts, the colors become strange, in general the screen becomes more warm (even by deactivating videotoolbox). There is also no support for HDR content for Netflix

Same here. Only if you screenshot it you'll get true hdr colours.

Are you having issue with Picture in Picture not working too? I've tried YouTube and YouTube Vanced, none is working with P in P on 10 Ultra

Nope i'm using Mi 10 Ultra. Changed device fingerprint to Mi 10 pro in order to get Netflix HDR.

Mi 10 ultra initially does not have HDR in Netflix? How do you do that? thks

I rooted my phone with Magisk and install Magisk Hide Props Config, after that from Termux app I forced my device fingerprint to Mi 10 Pro's basic key attestation.

I made the comparison with a Huawei Mate 10 Pro

Are there any bad things about doing this process? But will both YouTube and Netflix activate properly with HDR in doing so? In short, is it worth the time used to change this thing?

Not that I know of, plus it'll pass your Safetynet check. It takes less than 10 minutes to do the process.

Ok you convinced me this weekend I will try to do it (also because I will need gpay as soon as the lockdown in my country ends)

Sorry if I still disturb you but never having done so I don't understand well the procedure to install Magisk and the module. I read that it could remove the Wideline L1 certification (which I care about since it allows me to see Netflix in HD), could you explain the procedure to me please?

I don't understand why after changing things on magisk netflix it doesn't recognize me having the l1 certification but it reads l3

ok now netflix tells me that I have the l1 certification and that I have HDR support but trying a content from both Netflix and YouTube the problem of colors that seem dull and unnatural does not disappear, I tried to use for example youtube vanced and the difference is noticeable

I noticed in general also for example if I watch a movie made from the phone in hdr (looking at it from google photos) that the colors are faded

I have read in several forums that the problem can also be in android 10 itself and that it is solved in the latest version of android 11. What version are you using?
