[HELP WANTED]

I have unmerged partitions [standard] layout on my Mi2s.
To have more system space, I want to setup my device with merged partitions.

I don't want TWRP on my device.

Currently I have Miui v7 - 5.9.2 multi language on my device.

How can I setup my device, so that unmerged partitions becomes merged partitions.
I see on the internet several solutions, but I want to know how to do this on Linux Mint.

Can some one give me a detailed explanation how to do this, because I don't want to brick my device.

Which partitions do you want to merge? System0 and system1 or data and sd-card?

You can try m1cha's scripts, but it installs TWRP. Now there is the problem: you can try to install miui with TWRP. If it works you have MiRecovery, Miui and merged partitions. If not you have to restore your phone (I don't know how to do this on linux)

You can flash miui v7 on top of michas repartition script but With michas bootloader and recovery it will not change your recovery i flashed decuro miui v7 and i have still twrp 2.8.7 and thats good for me
Sry but i don't know how to flash mi recovery in this case

Ah and PS you can't brick a mi2
