Hi. I was wondering if someone could test to see if the mi pad 3 can play 10-bit HEVC video. I found one site claiming the chipset supports it so I wanted to check before buying. You can try with the standard video player or with mx player (you might need to activate HW+ decoder mode, it depends on the chipset and ROM).

Any help would be appreciated, thanks =)

Hey RelRedHair, thanks for the reply =)
Though I meant 10-bit, not 10mbps.
If you look just below the one you linked you'll see the 10-bit one.
Thanks!

Thanks so much for checking. That's one less reason to get the iFive mini (aside from being half the price and having a slightly better GPU). But this, plus more RAM and ROM, plus the build quality definitely have me leaning towards the mi pad 3. I just how Xiaomi also ends up bringing split screen functionality to it too.

Hej, 'jellyfish-140-mbps-4k-uhd-hevc-10bit.mkv' is working flawlessly. ;-)
