Hi everyone. I've been reading this great forum ever since you guys first started. Today I've finally decided to join this great community. I'm going to purchase the Mi 10 Ultra tomorrow and am planning to flash it to the eu rom. What would you guys recommend? Weekly or stable rom? Is twrp the only way to flash when using eu rom? Is twrp better than the stock mirecovery? Thanks for taking the time to read my post...

Hey a MI 10 Ultra here, I've been using my phone since September and from my experience the MIUI v12.0.15.0QJJCNXM worked like wonders, (this is the latest android 10 update), but I don't recommend using the new android 11 update as right now it has few bugs which can do a lot of problems for you, as of twrp you cannot flash the rom without it but in the future you'll get all the updates trough ota. also Im using stable branch forgot to mention. also twrp is a lot better then the stock because you have a lot of advanced options for installing stuff and doing backups or saving your device from getting bricked.
this is the link for the stable rom : https://sourceforge.net/projects/xi...0Ultra_V12.0.15.0.QJJCNXM_v12-10.zip/download

I prefer to use the stable as its more unlikely to get bugs and stuff but if you want to get all the new features without worrying about bugs or problems that might occur you can use the weekly

here are the instructions for flashing twrp and the rom.
as for the android 11 update as of now it has few big problems but they will be resolved in the future and then I recommend you to update.
also you'll need to unlock the phone which will take at least a week (that's the minimum time until Xiaomi unlocks your phone when you send an unlock request) so in the first few days using the phone before the rom you'll encounter few problems but trust me after flashing the rom everything will resolve and your experience will be the best on your beast of a phone :D
if you have additional questions feel free to ask)
also don't forget tp backup all of your data after every time you flash and install stuff as mostly it will get removed but in the future the ota updates will not delete your data but still a backup is always recommended)

- Israel

UPDATE:
today the developers reuploaded the latest android 11 stable build which fixed the major bug causing many apps crashing and not working as intended, so instead I recommend you to go straight to android 11 as It looks its ok now but I'll warn you the new android experience will differ a bit from 10 but you get used to it pretty fast so don't worry much about that, anyway here's the latest android 11 rom: [MIUI V12.1.1.0.RJJCNXM_v12-11.zip]
if you'll encounter crashing apps then going to settings then pressing on the version will lead you to the update screen where you'll get the new fix update which will fix the crashing.

Hi Israel, thank you so much for the reply. You made me feel very welcome to this great community. I read in another thread that the android 11 update has got another fix that is stable? Is it true? But I'll take your advice and got for the stable android 10 version that you've linked. After unlocking the bootloader, will Netflix be available on the Google playstore? And will it be widevine L1? After unlocking my CC9 Pro bootloader and flashing the Global rom, netflix is not found on the Google playstore. I had to sideload Netflix and it's widevine L3. Will this happen to the Mi 10 Ultra? Thanks...

I'm very happy to hear that and I'm always glad to help)
Yes the new fix works and now I do recommend getting the android 11 as the problems was resolved (see "update" in my previous reply)
unfortunately netflix is not available in the playstore but you can sideload it (I used apkmirror) and it will have widevine L1.
Yes CC9 Pro does not support widvine L1 but MI 10 Ultra does so you should get it without any problems)

Once again thanks for the reply. A noob question though, hahahaha. So the android 11 link that you posted is the latest fixed version? I just have to download it right? I'm glad that the Mi 10 Ultra has widevine L1. I'm really glad that I got the Mi 10 Ultra because the community here is great. At first, I wanted to get the P40 Pro+ after I sold my P40 Pro. But honestly, it's not easy using Huawei phones currently, even with Google sideloaded, it's not perfect and you never know when you're no longer be able to use Google apps after a firmware update. But my main decision to choose Xiaomi is the great community over here...

So sorry, one more question. Any link of which version of TWRP should I download? Thanks once again...

Don't worry about the questions, ask as many as you want) the 11 link I posted I'm not sure it is the latest as both versions have the same numbers but when you'll install if dual apps wont work and a lot of crashes will happen then its the old one, in this case you'll need to go to the update menu in the settings and it will give you an option to download the latest version. and if its the newest then you'll no problems.
And yes I agree the situation right now with Huawei is really difficult, and I'm happy you're choosing Xiaomi because of that reason :D
and also you will have a great experience on the MI 10 Ultra its really a great phone the hardware the cameras the performance everything is amazing just the software part can be tricky at the start (because of the chinese rom) but then when you resolve all of that it's in my opinion the best phone you can get right now (excluding the MI 11 Ultra that's expected to release in few weeks to months)

oh and also about the TWRP ill send you a link to the exact version I have as its tested to be working without any problems

as its an unofficial twrp the download side is written in chinese buy you'll need to press the most left button then again on the prompt that will show up twice and it will start the download, then you extract the files from the archive, launch cmd in the folder and do an
Code:
adb devices
to check that your phone is getting recognized, (also all of that should be done when you are in fastboot mode and already unlocked your device) and then you launch with administrator privileges the "recovery-twrp一键刷入工具.cmd" - it will automatically flash all the necessary files and after it's done you can reboot to recovery (press and hold power + volume up) and flash the rom. Good luck and I hope your experience will be worth it! Mine it surely did :D

Wow thanks once again for the indepth reply. So for TWRP, there's no official version? From where I come from. I can read Chinese but not too good, hahahahaha. I'm surprised that Xiaomi is releasing the Mi 11 Ultra so soon as the Mi 10 Ultra was released at then end of last year. I saw the video by Tech Buff. It seems that it has one less camera compared to the Mi 10 Ultra and I'm pretty concerned about then SD 888 and it's overheating and throttling issues. My friend has the Mi 11 and it's giving him tons of problems. Apps crashing, and the phone hangs. I don't see the link to the unofficial Chinese TWRP in your post. I tried to download the ROM file that you posted and i got the message stating that the file will be sent to me via email. Is that normal?

Yes currently there's no official version of twrp for the mi10u, well the mi 10 ultra was released back in august but then again the phone might come only in few months I dont know, i think you should stick with the mi 10 ultra, also about the mi 11, this phone was not optimized for miui 12.1 but it should be very optimized for miui 12.5 and that update should make it work as it should (hopefully) also sorry for not sending the link ill send now
TWRP: https://www.lanzoux.com/i5H48gamf7a
about the rom its should not be like that im not sure why it happend but here a link to their archive with the rom search for the "xiaomi.eu_multi_MI10Ultra_V12.1.1.0.RJJCNXM_v12-11.zip":
also about the mi 11 u camera im too surprised it has one less camera but i think its best to get the 10u as we cant know much about the 11u

Thanks so much for all the help. I'm currently using my CC9 Pro with Global ROM and when I click on the ROM link you sent me. I get this message :
Software downloads aren't possible on this device.

I'm wondering what is wrong. Could it be my mobile phone? Thanks...

hello everyone, I also have a mi 10 Ultra.
I got the V12.11.0.RJJCNXM update notification from February 12th ... the problem is that the download reaches 100% and remains fixed at that point. Any solution?

I see, sure thing)

I got the Mi 10 Ultra in my hands now. It's a beautiful and awesome device. What's the best settings for the camera? There's so many functions on it like Dynamic Shot, Enhance Image Quality...etc. Should I switch those functions on? I managed to download Google Playstore from the Xiaomi app store and I'm surprised that the Google Playstore Play Protection Certification that the device is certified. So Netflix is found on the Playstore. But once I unlock the bootloader and flash the EU ROM. Netflix won't be doing on the Playstore anymore right? Once again, thanks for reading my post...

Thanks for the reply. Maybe I could be dreaming because I really saw it but after I did a reset on the phone. Netflix is no longer there. Maybe it's the lack of sleep on my part. Hahahaha. Netflix is in Full HD and looks good. But there's no HDR on it. Could it be because I'm on the China ROM? Thanks for the tips regarding the camera settings. The camera is a amazing. Coming from Huawei phones for many years, I must say I'm very impressed with the Mi 10 Ultra camera. Besides the 120w chargers I also have the 55w wireless charger, both chargers are insanely fast...

I think hdr should be available on the xiaomi.eu rom, yes the camera is one of the best camera systems even today few months later, they really did a great job with that! moreover i too have both chargers and its really amazing and so convenient! not only this phone pioneered so much new technology advancements, but it keeps being better than the competition long after its release, and the technology proved it self that it is safe reliable and will stay relevant for a long time!

I totally agree with you. I haven't flash to xiaomi.eu rom yet. Will update once I unlock the bootloader and flash. I hope I get lucky again. The last time I unlocked the bootloader of my CC9 Pro. There was no waiting time at all. I'm going to keep my fingers crossed this time round...

Thanks for all the help and advice. Sadly, I've just sold my Mi 10 Ultra...

... Sold my 8GB/256GB to buy the 12GB/256GB model. Hahahahaha. So I'll still be over here...

Oh wow is there a reason you did that? I personally use a lot of storage so I got the limited 16GB/512GB model

My friend wanted my 8GB/256GB model and I found a great deal for the 12GB/256GB as originally I wanted the 12GB/256GB but couldn't find one locally. So why not right? Now both my friend and I got the phones we wanted and we are both happy. So all is good. Hahahahaha...
