I just saw this on the launcher, where I long press some pre-installed apps, and I'm going to show this with the notes app, there was an another option, "remove", and it says remove homescreen shortcut. I think that the previous weekly build 21.4.1 had this options on Apps page on settings called, "Manage homescreen shortcuts", but now it is removed with the latest build because the page is blank when you open that option, so I was thinking that it is so supposed to be really included here on miui 12.5 where the users can now remove pre-installed apps from the homescreen.. Another thing is the reported chinese characters seen on required permissions on package installer is still here on this build.

Please see the attached screenshots, thank you.

Good find. "Remove" option is now removed from the context menu.
We have our own "Hide app icons" screen in Home settings, which allows to hide everything, not just some system apps whitelisted by Xiaomi.
As for the Chinese icon, can't confirm, I already patched that.

Yes, I know that "hide app icons" feature in our homescreen settings, and I loved that feature where I can choose any app I want to hide, as for the Chinese characters.. They're still here on my phone, and I don't know why.. I hope in the next weekly build that would be gone.. Thank you for responding..

Well, only 2 possibilities:
1) Go to Settings -> Apps -> Manage apps:
* Settings icon -> Show all apps
* Search for "Package installer" and tap it. Do you see an "Uninstall updates" button?
2) Are you using any Magisk module that might have replaced the app?

I'll try the uninstalling the updates for the package installer then.. I'm not rooted, there's no magisk or whatsoever installed here on my phone..
