Waiting...updates for other devices are released...still waiting.

It's not out yet. Xiaomi said from day one that we are scheduled for September, round 3 devices. So wait a few weeks, no big deal.

Existing versions are fake. Don't bother until OFFICIAL.

The global beta (7.9.7) is out though which is miui 9 based. Do the EU devs base off the Chinese rom?

Yes, they base off China.

I don't think they will make a stable based off China beta either. It has a SIM card issue for non-fastboot flashes and has been recalled anyway.

Trying the 7.9.7 global developer currently, while waiting for eu. Nothing much to talk about really. Smooth experience so far. Certainly no problems that I have noticed yet. Benchmarks are much the same as before. Apps all seem to work normally. Battery life is great, although I have had no issues with battery capacity anyway, it seems a little better. Early days yet. Nice to have something new.

Same happened to mi3/4 for 7.9.7, obal miui9 available before China.

And here I am, still waiting for miui9, with 7.9.14 there's still a problem with sim card.

Why didn't they use global developer rom as base rom?

Nothing we can do about it. Not a big deal, MIUI9 doesn't seem to have a whole lot different.

The fact that global is released first and China firmware has problems must mean there is something special about MIUI9 China.
