How to add a notification LED to the Mi 9T Pro / Redmi K20 Pro and possibly other AMOLED devices

If like me, you can't live without a notification LED, maybe give this a try?

It worked fine under Android 9 / MIUI 10 on my 9T Pro and also works with Android 10 / MIUI 11, courtesy of the ROM available here.
