How To Change Default Messaging App Within Miui Contacts And Dialer ?

Is it possible to change the messaging app which opens up when in Contacts (stock Miui contacts app within Miui Contacts and dialer)? When accessing a particular contact, lets say John Smith, you see its mobile phone number, e-mail link (you can change either gmail, mail or any other mail app to open mail links), whatsapp icon that gets you directly to whatsapp message, but sms icon brings you to default miui messaging app, but I wont this sms icon to open up Textra. Is it doable?

i see this is an old thread but i'm looking how to change this as well. i think the only option is to use a different contacts and dialer apps.
