How to flash a different rom? Android 12

Wattafak! The internal storage doesn't work in the recovery on android 12 miui 13 stable, so if I wanna quickly flash another rom that isn't a miui how should I do?
Must flash back to stock rom android 11 via mi flash tools? ugh tedious.

I put android 12 pixel something on a redmi note 4 the other day and the recovery just works fine there btw (and by fine I mean a readable internal storage)

This is known since Android 12 was released... TWRP can't decrypt data partition when Android 12 is installed. For devices that were not released with Android 12 on-board, some TWRPs can still decrypt but only if the lock screen has no security method set.

Yes. If it's too tedious, then don't do it.
