How to install V5 on Desire S?

Hi, I've tried to install miui from miuiandroid.com and from the official miui site, and it doesn't pass the HTC logo.
I'm using 4ext recovery, wiped everything before flashing, checked md5, flashed boot.img through fastboot after flashing the ROM, changed hboot to eng and nothing helps.

What am I doing wrong?

Well, it seems like I have a Desire S with a Hitachi screen, which is not supported by JB kernel, and there's nothing I can do to fix it. There was a hacked kernel but it's not available anymore, afaik, and also it had some bugs, like having screen brightness always at 70%.

It would be great if MIUI devs could provide a 100% working kernel...
