Hello,
I bought a Redmi Note 13 Pro, and according to the website, it supports eSIM for the global version. However, after turning on the device, I was surprised that the eSIM management option is not available. What is the solution to make the eSIM option appear?

I've got Note 13 pro 5G (GARNET) Global version last week. Came with HyperOS 1.0 but eSim was missing.. I changed the region to United Kingdom, did the system app updater and afterwards I was able to see the eSIM option. The phone can only take 2 SIM at a time.. so when I enabled eSIM, I prompted to turn off one of the physical SIM.. After activating eSIM, Switched back to United States region.. I was still able to use eSIM.

this is the forum for Xiaomi.EU ROM, i recommend you to try upgrading to the ROM

Jumping on this with my Xiaomi 13 Ultra, which is only 2 physical SIMs. I use 5ber SIM right now which made me use esim in Brasil, Hong Kong and Taiwan without issues....You put in physical card which will be linked to esim profile via app...works like a charm.

Now it is described here that some devices support two physical cards...but you can also switch to use esim? If so, does this also work for Xiaomi 13 Ultra?

Xiaomi 13 and 13 pro have esim support, Ultra doesn't.

will it? i dont think the chinese variants have the esim hardware to begin with
yeah the chinese variants have no esim hardware as apparently they only allow esim support in China for IOT devices.

If you have a global device with ESIM support and you install xiaomi.eu ROM based on china, you can use the fix to use esim on china rom

I have a Garnet device. Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G.
After scanning an eSIM QR code I get below message saying the eSIM could not be added and a channel with root security domain could not be opened.
It also says to restart and try again but that does not help.

I have the 2.0.4.0 image for Garnet and I also had to apply a modem image from some other release after that for the phone to actually connect to the network.

I just realized I could add my eSIM but mobile data no longer works. If I try the EEA instead of the GLOBAL firmware will I lose the already registered eSIM?
Any help appreciated.

Yes, if you mean this link:

However I changed the modem.img to the latest version as stated in my post above. The one that's in the initial post is outdated and it was on my phone when I could not add the eSIM.
