New Keyboard seems laggy and won't spacebar on contact add RN7

This is really weird but when I try to save a new phone contact the keyboard (Gboard) seems laggy and it won't imput spaces on the game no matter what I do.

This is on a Redmi Note 7. I'm using latest stable version, 12.0.1

Weird but true. If you write all together, then go back and add the space, and then it works. Yes, weird.

I figured it out what it was, but forgot to say here...

When you're addind a new contact the "Name" formulary actually goes to "Name Prefix", where you are supposed to put something like Mr or Dr. You must click the small arrow on the right side of the field and select "Name". Then you'll be able to imput the name normally.

It seems like a new Android feature I wasn't aware of, and I don't know if there's a way to remove it either... but it's that.
