Lost application shortcut...

So I had a folder on my homescreen with my 'social' applications. I accidentally dragged another app onto it and now it's gone. I can search for the apps and open them but can't see a way to put them back on my homescreen again.

I imagined it would be simple but can't find my applications folder to do this!
