Lost Root with Magisk 30.0 and 30.1

I'm facing this strange situation where after updating Magisk to version 30.0, root permission was completely broken.

Looks like I can't make it work anymore, even the 30100 has the same problem.

The only way to get root permissions back is uninstalling Magisk, re-flashing the ROM and installing the release 28104, but then some apps (like AdAway) won't work.

Is anyone else having the same issue?

Different device but i have the same issue with my Xiaomi 14 when i am on Magisk 30/30.1
Why would you go back to 28104 though? is there a specific reason? doesnt the stable Magisk 29.0 (29000) work for you?

Nope, the latest "working" is 28104 but then it's like not having root, since AdAway (main reason for rooting, for me) won't work...

which img do you use for getting root? is it init_boot?

When was the last time you did a clean flash?

So I was sure I did reply to your question, but I see it's not there... Maybe I forgot to hit that "Post reply" button!

I use boot and init_boot, as per Magisk official instructions. The last (and only) time I clean flashed was straight after getting unlocking permission when a bought my phone in April.

GOOD NEWS!

So I apparently got rid of the issue by getting rid of Magisk and installing KernelSU along with the Systemless Module for KernelSU.

I must admit that it was easier than what it seemed to be at the first look.
