low audio on phone calls

Hello i am new to this forum and have had a look around and searched for a fix before posting on here.
I can not see a recent post on this topic. My phone is a mi 8 it says MIUI Global 10.3.4.
Only have phone 4 months or so but couple of months ago volume during phone calls is terribly low. i have to put people on loudspeaker to hear comfortably. audio is perfect for ringtones and everything else..its just low during phone calls and is doing my head in.Any pointers on how to fix it?

i have unlocked bootloader and have Install TWRP via Fastboot mode, how do i flash rom now?

How about reading and understanding the instructions provided by the main thread?

First, decide, stable or beta, then read with care, be warned, you will loose all your data.

1. Wipe system, data, dalvik, cache
2. Install ROM (custom)
3. Remove the encryption, you can navigate to factory data reset, and type YES,
i have done this already..im new to this obviously and want to warn..i have spent 9 hours today learning this because i never knew anything before today about roms. which main thread are you talking about?

Instructions are in the first post.

Note, you might need to copy the Rom to your device again after you formatted data, so stay in twrp, attach pc and copy the rom, then flash and reboot, you will need magisk if you plan to do banking or mobile payments with the device.

Try to get familiar with that.

Encrypted names = wrong twrp installed.

Plus you didn't format data.

i did format data...but when im in twrp pc loses access to browse folders through pc
after 5 versions of twrp i got past decrypted files
installed Disable-Force-Encryption-Treble and magisk 20 and phone now stuck at "black screen and white dots going along bottom of screen ffs

at least i can get it to flash now. ive flashed miui global 10.3.5..0 stable im downloading xiaomi.eu_multi_mi8_9.10.31__v11 but its taking for ages and will try to flash tomorrow but thanks for help Karpfenhal
