Medium font missing from Text Size menu

Just got the new EU Xiaomi 12 running MIUI 13 Global 13.0.16 and the M option is missing from the Text Size menu. The slider goes from S to L and the sizes are either too small or too big. How can the M be missing? Please help.

I have a Poco F3 on 13.0.3 Global and there is no M either. It does not seem to be a Xiaomi.eu issue.

How do you deal with it? Third party apps seem to make it too big and disproportional..

The default was on "S", and I did not feel the need to change.

That's right, official ROMs don't have the M option, it's something we add on ours.
