Messaging Quick Reply making Multiple Threads

I'm running MIUI 2.2.24 and sometimes, when I use the quick reply box for text messages, it will create a separate thread for JUST my replies. The person texting me will have a whole thread for just their texts.

I'm on a Samsung Infuse, but this issue occurred when I was using an HTC Inspire as well. I looked around, and I couldn't find any solutions, or even people with the same issue.
