MHL problem

Today i got MHL adapter from dx. I tried it on my mi2 and everything was working well. Then I disconnected the plug and tried my girlfriend's i9100. I didn't work with s2 so I taught there must be a compatibility issue between adapter and s2 rom. Then I connected my mi2 again and nothing happened. My TV doesn't recognize my phone anymore. Is it possible that connecting the adapter to other phone broke it? It makes no sense.

Restart your phone, plug the mhl cable and wait, it should work..
