Mi 10 Pro - Google Fotos does not sync anymore

Hi all

Looking for some good ideas.
Since few weeks my Mi10Pro does not sync anymore with Google Fotos.
It always shows starting to prepare sync, it is calculating the number of pictures and then it stops.

I have tried via different wifi's, via Data Connections, no success.
I have cleaned App cache and data, no success
I have deleted the app and re installed without any success.

Mi10Pro runs xiaomi.eu beta but I have skipped the last few updates after Chinese golden week due to TRWP issue for cmi

Any good ideas?

Check your settings in the photo app. If HEIF format is activated, photos do not sync with Google photos.

I was not aware on this, but HEIF is not activated.
On top it is also not working for any other folder like WhatsApp pictures

Are you sure. that permission is set correctly?

Late to the party, but same problem. Was the issue solved in any way?
