MI 10 Ultra unofficial TWRP

Did someone try to flash magisk with this TWRP for Mi 10 Ultra ? I remember, i had some problems with Mi 10 Pro before with this TWRP after flash magisk. After a reboot, device everytime boot into fastboot mode.

yes, latest Magisk works as does Magisk Manager. I have root and the apps I use (swift installer for AMOLED black and Greenify) and working just fine.

You need to achieve this via TWRP, I used the chinese one (don't worry it has a language button)

install Magisk via TWRP, you do not need to wipe, just reboot within TWRP - I lost no data

(make it easier on yourself and enable Extended Power Menu in developer settings as it has Reboot to Recovery)

Some apps though seem to be able to see through root. Even with hiding root, changing magisk app through its own manager, both sky go refused to play stating the phone was rooted as did Lloyds Bank. Lloyds unregistered the phone from app banking.
But it works, just need to do what you need to do, unroot and remove magisk, reboot before using those apps. Small price to pay really.

Using magisk? or Canary?

I have the same problem with my banking app. Using canary version solved the issue. Maybe you can try it out.

It is quite easy actually, you just have to be careful.
First, I installed TWRP via Fastboot (when you unzip TWRP you will get 10 files, and the last one is in Chinese partly: 打开CMD命令行 - it is a windows batch file) by doubleclicking on that file mentioned before and typing fastboot flash recovery recovery.img . It will install TWRP quite quickly (it will be in Chinese when you first install but you will easily find a button to change that to English), and then you reboot in TWRP by typing fastboot reboot recovery.
Once in TWRP, you have to do format. After that, restart from TWRP and choose restart to recovery mode. Your computer will recognize your phone and there will be TWRP folder there. Upload zipped ROM there, and then click install in TWRP and choose that zip file. When it is installed go back and click wipe dalvik/art, cache and data (choose nothing else), and then reboot to system. Wait for a few minutes, and that is it.
Just be careful not to wipe something you should not wipe.
Good luck! :)

You need to unlock bootloader first. Then you can flash recovery via fastboot.

It says 10 pro on the actual twrp but not sure if it has been modified for the ultra. Not going to try standard 10 pro as the 10 ultra version of it works fine at the moment

Hi John, if i have one working now with the last stable, do i need to change TWRP, or stay with the older ??

Both are working fine with EU 12.0.13/14, you can stay with the older one if you don't encounter problems.

This twrp worked like a charm for me. Installed easily. Booted into twrp from Updater. Asked the pin for decryption. Performed everything fine. The only thing I do not know whether it is required to wipe cache/dalvik or not. I have done it afterwards. I updated from previous stable to the newest one xiaomi.eu_multi_MI10Ultra_V12.0.14.0.QJJCNXM_v12-10.zip (Btw, downloaded by Updater) And by the way, this version correctly identifies mi 10 ultra and twrp boot banner states the same.

As far as I can remember, previous version of twrp would not boot after installation. At least for me. So, this version solved everything.

What do you mean by "simple message"? Is it just texting via mobile (SMS)?
Maybe it is related to the Google issue. Google few days ago rolled out a change which impacts all SMS/MMS apps, resulting in delayed SMS messages.
To see if the problem impacts you, open Google Play, search for Messages (by Google) and if there is a button there that says "Enable" then you need to press that. If not, then the issue does not impact you.
