Hi!
I have no more ideas.

I have a Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra China Version.
Original China ROM was okay but in English and with ugly apps.
So I decided to install a xiaomi.eu ROM.
At first I installed stable 12.5 to TWRP and all was good!
Nice and smooth!
But the I saw the New MIUI 13.
And how it is... I did immediately install 13.0.5
At first I did the update version over Fastboot.
At the first hours I noticed a faster battery drain. And over a few days it was still there. The Display was always on the first place even if I didn't use the phone. Second place was the Android System.

So now I tried a few things:

Factory Reset: Same bad battery drain
New installation with wipe: Same bad battery drain.

Then there was the update to 13.0.9!

I did use the wipe data installation.
And again bad battery drain! BUT now, after two days "Google Play Services" is at the first place! Always... Even at night...

So I tried a few things:

TWRP full wipe with new installation over Fastboot: same bad battery drain...

I checked all Google apps... Did test and check all Google permissions...

Now I have no more ideas.

At the moment the battery drain is
1# "Google Play Services"
2# Display
3# Android System
4# Xiaomi Serviceframework

i have battery drain on my 11 ultra as well since MIUI13...

Yesterday I did test all kinds of reinstalling...
I mean all kinds...
And I did test all hints that I found here in the forum.
Battery is always the same...
Sadly but I guess we have to wait for updates...

May seem weird and I don't know why it's working, BUT, try a factory reset from system settings (No twrp, no fastboot) just go to settings -->my device --> backup and restore --> factory reset.

This fixed all the issues I was having (e.g telegram and Gmail can't access memory) and also, I don't have the play services battery drain at all, it's always at 4-5th place in battery stats with 5-10% drain.

Battery for me is very good on MIUI 13 if compared to MIUI12.5E, I'm currently getting around 5h SOT with even 1-2h playing FIFA mobile max graphic settings.

Yes I notice too because my wife still using stock EU 12.5.11 compare to my 13.0.9 my battery in idle is drain faster.

I'm running latest xiaomi.eu ROM v13.0.9 so I think we have the same ROM. I don't know why I'm not having the issues you reported, bit for me everything is good with latest update

There you have a Screenshot of today. I think it's an overall good battery life. You can also see, Google play services is at 5th place of battery consumption with less than 10% usage...

It seems that when I am using the phone the battery drain is nearly normal.
BUT if i don't use the phone the battery drain is the same!
The huge battery drain is always in the standby mode...
At the evening I have 30% if I don't charge my phone the battery dies over night...

For example:

I stand up at 6am, 30 minutes bathroom etc. And 30 minutes way to work...

With Xiaomi.eu MIUI12: at 8 am still 100% battery
With Xiaomi.eu MIUI13: at 8 am 95% battery

All without using the phone...
And thats the whole day... I can see the fast battery draining without even touching the phone...

But I see someone here in the forum who said he has the official MIUI 13 china version and the bad battery drain...
So I guess it's a "Mother ROM" Problem and we have to wait for updates -.-

Yes same for me. When i disable Always on Screen it will be better but that's not a solution because on Miui12 it was good with it enabled

This is very interesting. I'll do a test to see how much is the battery drain in standby mode

So this is my battery after a day of work...
We are not allowed to use the phone so I maybe have 30-45 min onscreen time...

It's definitely the AOD (Always on Display).
Today I deactivated the AOD...
Battery was good as it was on MIUI 12...

But that is not a solution for me! :-D

Any ideas?

This explains everything. Always on display obviously drains more battery when it's activated. It should not drain so much more tho (I remember on mi 10 pro it added 1-2%/h more battery drain ending the day with a 12-20% less battery on MIUI 12.5). Anyway I just tested the standby battery drain overnight and I got 7% in 7 hours, means 1%/h drain ratio.

Assuming you work for 8 hours a day, with a 2%/h more battery drain, you get 2+1%/h for a roughly 24% stand by drain, which is not that far away from the screenshot you sent some days ago.

Noticed this on my mix 4 as well, once I set it to "keep aod on for 10 seconds after tapping", got longer battery life, losing 10% during sleep turned to 2-3.

I don't want to test the weekly version...
Can someone else please do it? :-D
I was on the first MIUI weekly before switching to stable, and the battery was even worse. Really a huge battery drain. Listening to people here and there on various mi 11 versions they've always been suffering of battery drain on weekly since MIUI 12.6 on Android 12. Seems like it's Android 12 the problem, if this is true

I tried to go back to 12.5.... but no real success.
Did take me 5h with no real result.
If it's possible I hope there is someone who can post a little "How to" because it is a nightmare...

Yea, did all of this already and always end up with an error...
TWRP is not working because of A12 decryption.
Is there a fastboot version that works like the version for MIUI 13?
Just click and go?
