Hi Everyone,

This is my first post here so if it's in the wrong thread then please please point me in the right direction.

As highlighted in the title, I have a "Mi 360 Home Security Camera 2K" (Model MJSXJ09CM) and it seems to have bricked itself and is just displaying an :emoji_large_orange_diamond: light...

I searched for firmware for the MJSXJ09CM but haven't had much luck so far.... The only thing I could find was this: https://theo-deroza.com/how-to-unbrick-mi-home-security-camera-360-1080p-mjsxj02cm-with-firmware/ and have tried flashing all the firmware's that were provided in the guide.

Let me know if you need any more info about the firmware that I have tried.

The camera was purchased in Greece and will be used in Greece but Greek translations or language are not necessarily required so I'd be happy to use a different firmware (if it's supported) It's also probably worth mentioning that there are another two Mi cameras on the same network but they are not exactly the same model number.

I'd really appreciate it if somebody could point me in the right direction to obtain the correct firmware for this camera and get the :emoji_large_blue_diamond: light back again

Thanks in advance!

Ya sou, kalispera! I'm afraid I haven't found a solution yet.

I flashed the device with all the different firmwares here: https://theo-deroza.com/how-to-unbrick-mi-home-security-camera-360-1080p-mjsxj02cm-with-firmware/ and have managed to get the blue light back but I'm not able to connect to it via the app.

However, I'm not sure if this is because the device was used on my father in-laws account and I'm testing it on my account.

Let me know if you find a solution!

All the best,

Thanks Peterant!

The model number differs slightly, my one is MJSXJ 09 CM but will give it a try.

Were you able to fix your camera with the firmware you linked?

My camera is the MJSXJ01CM model and i fix it, with the right firmware that downloaded, from the official imilab site....Just try that one i send, is the firmware of your model...

hi everyone i have problem in my camera. model is MJSXJ05CM. the problem is there is a steady orange light. can you please help me. do i need to upgrade the firmware?

thanks for anyone who will answer.

Hi
I have a Xiaomi smart camera model MJSXJ09CM (IPC009).
Since I updated this model to version 4.0.9_0409, the camera does not work and the yellow light flashes on and off.
I also used different Firmwares available in the https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1ci4WnTCL9nsY8CHJkf3rog1Lnl7MO1sx, but I didn't get any results
I tried with used SD cards 2, 16, 64GB but I did not succeed in recovery
Help me please
Have you solved it? I have the same problem. Please advise:)

I have unbricked my camera "Mi 360 Home Security Camera 2K" (Model MJSXJ09CM)
I have exactly MJSXJ09CM version!
Used this firmware 360-2k-IPC029A02_4.1.2_0281 https://drive.google.com/file/d/1WZ5D4hx6PJ-qVK9jGJSaix1S0ALcSIgT/view
But you need to rename the file from "tf_update.img" to "tf_recovery.img"
I have used 64 GB SD card, formatted via MacOS Disk Utility
Source of firmware is this video

Upd. The version in the app shows 4.1.2_0281 and there is update to 4.1.6_0310
I have tried to tap "Update", it failed immediately but after several minutes device starts flashing yellow, saying something about update and now device is again a brick. So either I just broke it again or this camera is not as good as I thought

Thanks you saved my camera :)
I had same file as both names tf_recovery.img tf_recovery.img and it worked on first try
previously tried about 10 diffrent img files
had to say thanks :)

I have the MJSXJ09CM but there are three firmware for the same model. My serial number starts with 29048. The firmware that worked for me is: ‍http://cdn.cnbj2.fds.api.mi-img.com/chuangmi-cdn/product/IPC029A02/firmware/IPC029A02_4.1.6_0329.zip‍

you need to change the name to tf_recovery.img from tf_update.img.

You need to wait a couple of minutes and then the camera restarted. Also I didnt have to re-add it to the the Mi Home app, it just worked. After the restart, it asked me to do a firmware update and it worked.

I used firmware from this page: page: https://maimai.cn/article/detail?fid=1739460024&efid=H3G959-jSXcNZ7lgkxkNLg

@proximagr , I have same model. The camera asked for firmware upgrade to 4.3.4_0384 but I didn't do anything in fact good. It was bricked after this.
I have tried with the firmware from you link and using the 64G card I was using formatted in FAT32 and renaming the file like you said. The file was copied in the root of the microSD card. What I am missing, the LED is yellow all the time, no movement, not even after 30min.

Yes, I have followed you guide and because I have exact same model and SN, I have tried first with the firmware that worked for you but after, with different ones, with no success. Maybe is bricked for good?

I managed to repair it. I think it was because everything I have tried from here was the China version while I have the Global version. They are having in the name, after the IPC something like _02 no matter what exact model it is.
If anyone needs it, please PM me and I will see how to upload it otherwise I am not sure how to do it. Or if someone from here has any google box dropbox etc. account I can send and will share the firmware. I have some others I didn't use in the end but maybe useful for others.

Hi hulubei,

We were searching for a solution on our device with mjsxj09cm number. I think it's global version because purchased in Europe. We tried some of the tf_recovery.img files but none of them work. Please can you send us a correct firmware and steps, how to use them.

@hulubei I'm in the same situation and I wasn't able to download the firmware. My camera is MJSXJ09CM with serial starts with 29048. Can you share again a link with the correct firmware, the one above expired. Thank you!

Have the same model MJSXJ09CM (serial 29048***), after the update, I had the same failure.

Fortunately, I was able use the local support, who replaced the camera ... a second exchange on site is not possible.

Now I am still on 4.1.2 and the app complains about the outdated firmware any time.
Are there any improvements in the latest 4.3.4 firmware?

Did the update work on the second try, after restoring to the backup firmware?
Also need the link to the firmware for recovery as a precaution before I test the update again.

@hulubei could u share your recovery file?

Is it the same as @obodnia used here?

The same hash has the file from mi-img.com referenced here.

Hi

i managed to solve the problem
the solitoin is

1. format the sd card with FAT32 (not exFAT!!!) . i used an utility "minitool partition wizard'
2. upload the firmware file in the root of sd card. The firmware is here https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1triQ7ka1NKO_YQ3GEhJa1lNCCmsWyGDT?usp=sharing i used 4.1.2. version but may be 4.1.6. will help too
3 the name of the firmware file should be tf_update.img (i did NOT change the name to tf_recovery.img from tf_update.img)
4. insert the sd card inside the camera
5. turn the camera on. wait for 3-5 mins. Led indicator should become blue.
6. hold the power button to reboot the device

i did it with 4.1.2 firmware and then the same way with 4.1.6. After that the camera uploaded the latest update itself
