My mother-in-law's phone is bootlooping, if it can be called that.
Video shows me long-pressing each of the vol-, vol+, power buttons as it loops through startup, sometimes getting through the boot loader, sometimes as far as mi recovery or fastboot, even all the way into Android a couple of times, but then resets.
At android login it responds to screen touch, not long enough to get in before reset. Sometimes it enters Mi recovery, all by itself, with no buttons pressed; recovery menu responds to vol+, vol- (don't want to clear data if possible, haven't tried xiaomi assistant). Hardware problem, not software, seems like?
Almost like the hardware buttons are being pressed randomly.
What's the next step you'd take? I have a lab with tools to open this up and tools to test internal electronics. I'll look at the hardware buttons for sure.
Thanks!
