[Mi 8] High battery drain in "other".

Hello, since few updates i have really poor battery performance. I used to get 6 to 8 hours of SoT with ease (even tho I have really poor to none Cell Connection!) but now it's great if i get 4. I'm on MIUI 11 (xiaomi.eu) 9.10.11. It's keep happening since few of the last MIUI 10 updates and continue through MIUI 11. Any ideas where to start?

Try reinstalling the ROM through TWRP.

Wipe Cache, Dalvik, System and then reinstall the ROM .zip file. Your data won't be affected.

You'll have to reinstall root and custom Kernel (if used) again afterwards.


Had the same issue before. This is were I start every time. Let me know if this has resolved or mildered the battery drain.

My SOT is about 5½ - 6 hours, but I have many apps and games installed and still have to manage battery efficiency. So it might get even more!

Reinstalled the ROM, will see tomorrow if that helps. BTW. Is there any custom kernel for MIUI 11 Android Q that works? I tried MiPa kernel but it's not working very well, the worst thing is the unlocking/locking the screen, it has a few second delay.
